But first, let’s bust one of
the biggest tanning
myths around:
HEAT = TAN ❌
This is a very common misconception. Perhaps it’s because when we tan in the sunshine, it’s generally hot, so we naturally equate heat with tanning. But the fact is, it’s simply not the case.
The heat generated by a sunbed has nothing to do with the tanning performance. It’s quite the opposite. When the skin gets hot it goes into protection and cooling mode which means it takes longer to tan.
Energy drives the tanning process in the skin not heat.
Therefore, the cooler the sunbed, the better the tanning performance will be. This may seem counter-intuitive but it is true.
Using LEDs in a sunbed enables a cooler and more comfortable experience with a more targeted, refined and enhanced performance. These combine together to give you a better, longer lasting tan.
